How can I tell whether all the information has uploaded from my device?

To ensure that all data from the device is uploaded to the server you should not log off immediately after capturing data.

Logging out of FieldMetrix will interrupt the synchronization process with the back end server.

So how can you tell how much data still needs to be sent to the server?

Click on the Control Panel tab in FieldMetrix on the device and look for the Work Items Queued label.

This will show you how many items still need to be synced with the server.

In this screen capture there are 51 items that still need to be transmitted to the server.

There is no correlation between the number of items and the number of jobs or assignments.

Note the total count will never be equal to 0.

When all items have been sent to the server the count will be less than 5.

This is because FieldMetrix is constantly transmitting GPS fixes and telemetry data to the server.

If the count is less than 5 though you can safely log out know the data has been synchronized.
