Use ChartCross GPS Test to check whether the Windows Mobile GPS is working as it should.
ChartCross shows whether the GPS on the device is running, the satellite count and the HDOP.
HDOP stands for Horizontal Dilution of Position and is an indication of the accuracy of the current GPS fix.
HDOP values less than 3 or 4 are excellent.

Run GPS Test
It may take a minute or two to start up. When you
see a screen similar to the one below you know the
GPS is working correctly.
Tap Menu > GPS Settings to view the COM Port
To exit tap Menu > Exit. The device's GPS will continue
to run in the background after GPS Test has closed.
